Stand United in Joy: An Exposition of Philippians

Simple, Concise Expositions.

Recommended by Pastor Warren Weirsbe as an excellent supplement to his “Be” Series:

“They are valuable resources for any preacher.”

Discussion questions are included for each section of the book. Useful for group bible studies.

The Epistle to the Philippians has often been described as a magnificent gem with four sparkling chapters. Paul sympathizes with the struggles the believers there are experiencing and cheers them with the challenge to stand united in joy.

But Paul offers more than mere words. He knows the source of true joy and peace and he plainly spells out the formula. Believers today who are searching for relief from a fragmented, tense, and confused world can possess “peace which passes all understanding.” This study of Paul’s letter to the Philippian Christians can give meaning to life today. The verses are expertly discussed in understandable language. Key words are explained and complicated passages are competently unraveled by Dr. Gromacki.

The thirteen chapters are ideal for adult Sunday school classes or Bible study groups, providing a typical quarter of thirteen weeks. Or, by devoting two sessions to each chapter, Stand United in Joy can be easily adapted into a six-month study. Discussion questions conclude each chapter.
